Vennila sponge cake

                            Vanilla sponge cake (with egg)



This vanilla sponge cake recipe is the perfect dessert for any occasion. This classic cake is flavorful, light, fluffy, and easy to make.

Ingredients:

all-purpose flour:1 cup (120 grams)

baking powder:1 tsp (4.8 grams)

baking soda: ½ tsp (3 grams)

salt: ¼ tsp (1.4 grams)

eggs:3 (room temperature)

vanilla essence: 2tbsp (30 ml)

milk powder: 2tbsp (15.6 grams)

milk: 2tbsp (30 ml)

sugar: ¾ cup (67 grams)

oil: ½ cup (118.2 ml)



Method:

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F or 1800C for 15 minutes.

2. Stiff all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and milk powder and keep aside.

3. In a hard bowl add eggs (along with yolk) and start blending it for two minutes using a hand beater at low speed.



4. Then add ¼ cup of sugar (4 batches) gradually into the beaten egg and continue beating the sugar along with the eggs. After ten minutes add another batch of sugar and repeat the same process until the color of the egg changes to pale yellow and fluffy. (sugar is completely added to the eggs)

5. Add oil and vanilla essence to the eggs and start blending for 2 minutes.

6. Take the above stiff dry ingredients and start adding to the eggs batch-wise (means divide the flour using the half cup) using a spatula. Now, pour the milk and mix it well.

7. Take the cake pan, apply butter or oil insert the butter paper into it.


8. Bake the cake for 45 minutes. Use a toothpick to check if the cake is baked.

9. Once the cake is baked, keep it at room temperature and allow it to cool down completely.

10. Cut the cake into slices and enjoy the tasty vanilla sponge cake.

*Never over-mix, the fluffy cake will never appear.
