Total time preparation:
2 hours
Baking time:
25 minutes
No. of serving:6
Ingredients
All-purpose flour: 2cups
Sugar: 3tsp
Salt: 1/8 tsp
Melted butter: ¼ cup
Activate Yeast
Milk: ½ cup
Sugar: 1 tsp
Yeast: 1 tsp
Cinnamon powder
Cinnamon: 3 inches
Brown sugar: 2 Tbsp
Butter: 2 Tbsp
Glaze
Powder sugar: 4 Tbsp
Milk: 1 Tbsp
Butter: 1 tsp (melted)
Method
1.
In a clean bowl, pour the warm milk,
followed by the sugar and yeast mix. Keep aside to activate the yeast (the
maximum time taken to activate is 5 to 10 minutes).
2.
In the activated yeast bowl, add all the
dry ingredients: all-purpose flour, sugar, salt, and melted butter. Mix well.
Start kneading for 7 minutes to make a soft dough. Rest for 2 hours to double
the size of the dough.
3.
Now, prepare the cinnamon powder. Add the
cinnamon stick and brown sugar to a blender jar and blend until smooth. Stiffen
the grain powder to form a smooth powder.
4.
Meanwhile, the dough should be double the
size now. Spread the dough flatly and start to stretch using a roller, forming
a rectangle (so it will be easy to roll). Now, take the butter (it should be
softened at room temperature) and spread all over the sides of the dough.
5.
After spreading the butter, sprinkle the
cinnamon powder over the butter spread and cover all the sides.
6.
Now, roll the dough, trim the sides, and
cut it into pieces. Place the cut pieces in any shape tin and rest for 5
minutes to raise the dough.
7.
Now, bake the cinnamon roll in the
preheated oven at 350 F for 25 minutes.
8.
After 25 minutes, take out the baked
cinnamon rolls and keep them at room temperature.
9.
Now, to prepare the glaze, add sugar,
milk, and melted butter to a bowl and mix well. A smooth, glassy glaze will be
formed. Now, pour the glaze over the cinnamon rolls and start to enjoy.
10. The tasty homemade cinnamon roll is ready.
