Black Chickpeas Sour Bread Salad

Total preparation: 15 minutes (pressure cooker)
45 minutes (boiling
in a saucepan)
Ingredients
Black Chickpea: 1cup
Sour bread: ½ cup
Lettuce: ½ cup
Cucumber: ½ cup
Tomatoes: ¼ cup
Crushed black pepper: ½ tsp
Crushed garlic:1tsp
Chopped onion: 3 Tbs
Coriander leaves:1tsp
Lemon juice: 2 tbsp
Salt:1tsp
Method:
- Take a bowl and soak the black chickpeas overnight or soak it at least for 8 hours.
- Cook soaked black chickpeas in a pressure
cooker (or cook in a saucepan for 40 min) with 3 cups of water. Add salt to
your taste and allow 6 whistles keeping on medium flame.
- Once cooked strain the water and let it cool down.
- In a bowl, add the chopped onion, tomatoes, cucumber, garlic, salt, and lemon juice. Add cooked and cooled chickpeas.
- Add some lettuce, coriander leaves, and bread. Mix it well by flipping on both sides.
- Nutrient-rich breakfast is ready.
